So, I was all bouncy on Monday, and I really overdid it. I woke up so excited to be here on this planet, and I meditated, which made it better, and I wrote and I thought…what can I make for dinner?
So, I made a new crockpot recipe, then made some pasta to go with it, and then I baked some bread and then I made a cake, and then I tried a new frosting technique and then I frosted the cake, and then we ate.
And I was quite worthless on Tuesday. I over spent my spoons. Borrowed from Tuesday’s allocation. It’s so fun when it happens, when I suddenly feel like the old me, when I can do and do and do that I forget to modulate that fun. I forget to consider what’s coming,
The crash.
I overspent my spoons. I grabbed…well, quite a few, really, so I woke up on Tuesday feeling like I’d been hit by a bus. It was tempting to borrow from Wednesday, but that way lies madness, so I rested intentionally, did not cook anything, and took a very fast, as minimal as I could get away with, shower.
Today feels close to normal, so fingers crossed.
I went to the Symphony a couple weeks ago, though, and that put me in a spoon deficit for a damn week. It’s one of the trickiest parts on MS—managing your energy levels, and deciding what activities are worth borrowing spoons for.

I did read 52% of my book yesterday before a nap became MANDATORY, so I should finish the Romance Revival today. As far as the fundraiser, we are at $200, and this will be my third book of the month. I need to post something on Facebook today to put it back at the top of people’s algorithms, so that we can get a few more donations. But before I do that, here’s the good stuff:

Tuesday, August 5th
I meditated for 25 minutes, read 174 pages, and played a new-to-me RPG in zoom with some friends. I did manage to shower, but needed a 2-1/2 hour nap in the afternoon, which is longer than usual during the week. I wrote a journal entry that was a bit of a mess, but I wrote it, so that’s the important part.
Love y’all.
