Which really seems…like someone is bending time and space.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I used to take my lottery planning very seriously. There were spreadsheets.
The plan at one point was that I would build a huge house, maybe 15 or 20 bedrooms and I would make space for all my friends to come live with me. It would be like an all-suite hotel. I would provide a small fleet of cars that could be checked out like library books, and there would be a gym and a spa and a separate barn space for games and entertaining.
That gave way to a small community of tiny houses, surrounding a common eating and entertaining space.
But the older I get, the simpler my plans have become. If I won the lottery today, I think that not much would change. I’d likely buy a couple acres down the road and build a bigger house, but that would likely be the extent of the physical changes. I would definitely increase the services that I use, though. Since I am disabled and can’t drive, I would have someone come to the house to do my nails, and cut my hair and give me regular massages. I’d probably hire a live-in housekeeper/shopper/cook. And then I would truly be able to live unencumbered by worrying about money, or worrying how I was going to get somewhere, or worrying how I was going to be able to get certain things done. I needed a damn haircut for probably eight months before I finally was able to make a plan for that, and it only happened really because I was getting married and didn’t want to look like a wraith in the wedding pictures.
So, I guess the tl;dr is bigger house, and more staff.
Love y’all.

I’d do just about everything the same as I do now, but with a new car every few years. And I’d donate $$$ to the local food bank on a monthly basis. A lot of money.
Yeah, I’d be Santa Claus, but with Money. I’d also build a community center for at-risk kids with a gym and tons of computers and study areas, and teaching and counseling staff to assist with classwork, life planning or emotional issues. And an adjacent Unitarian church complex with space for concerts and group meditation.
This sounds like so much fun! Come on, lottery!
