Thursdays are my laziest of lazy days. Mondays I don’t have much during the day, but I have games on Zoom on Monday nights. Tuesday, I sometime have D&D and usually Spanish homework. Wednesday I have Spanish class and sometimes therapy. Friday, I have group therapy. Weekends usually involve *something*. This weekend, for example, we have game days both days with separate groups of people.

But Thursdays are blissfully empty. I knew when I went to bed last night that my only obligation today involved a cat and a kindle.

In case you can’t tell, a day where I have zero to do is my favorite sort of day.

My whole day.

What do you complain about the most?

Probably the fact that so many people are wrong about so many things.

I spend a fair amount of time—have spent for years a fair amount of time—trying to correct things on the internet that are not accurate. Trying to correct people that are…how do I want to put this?

Full of shit.

And I get asked all the time why I do it, why I torture myself and that is a complicated question with two very simple answers.

One, I fight with people whose mind I have no possibility of changing so that the onlookers don’t think that everyone is in agreement with the full-of-shit guy. I fight for the spectators.

Also, I get a kind of ridiculous amount of dopamine from it. Less now than I did fifteen, twenty years ago, when my brain was young and elastic…but still probably more than I get from doing anything else.

And that makes me sound like a mercenary, like I don’t care about the causes that I fight for, and that isn’t true. I don’t like when people are wrong about ANYTHING, but I am not going to fight you on whether Skippy Super Chunk is better than Jif, even though it’s so clearly not. But you are welcome to that delusion.

You are not welcome to the delusion that gay marriage should be illegal, or that abortion has anything to do with babies.

You know, like that.

Love y’all.
