Bloganuary: Pets

Long day today, so all I have energy for is this.

I really want to talk tattoos, but that may wait till Friday.

Anyway—

If I could have just one superpower, I think it might be the ability to talk to animals.

And if I could only do that for five minutes total, I would want them to understand that they are loved, that they are safe, that I would protect them with my actual life. That I am their mom, in every way that counts, and that means that we will be together for always. They will never be left in the cold again. It’s warm here, and that’s the way it will always be. There will be no reason to be afraid. There are no predators here. Just a warm bed and practically endless supplies of food and love.

That’s what I hope they know.
